The single-stage double-suction centrifugal pump is a new-generation energy-efficient horizontal split case pump primarily designed for transporting clean water or other liquids with similar physical and chemical properties. As an essential type of centrifugal pump, the double-suction pump is widely used in engineering applications due to its high head and large flow capacity. Product structure
The suction and discharge ports of the double-suction centrifugal pump are located below the pump shaft and are positioned perpendicular to the shaft in a horizontal direction. The split-case design allows for easy maintenance without removing the inlet/outlet pipelines or motor. From the coupling side, the pump operates in a counterclockwise direction by default, but clockwise rotation can be customized upon request. The main components of this pump include pump body, pump cover, impeller, shaft, double-suction seal ring, shaft sleeve, and bearings. Except for the shaft, which is made of high-quality carbon steel, most of the other parts are made of cast iron. The pump body and pump cover form the working chamber for the impeller. The inlet and outlet flanges feature threaded holes for installing vacuum gauges and pressure gauges, and there are drainage holes at the lower part of the flanges. The impeller undergoes static balance testing and is secured with shaft sleeves and sleeve nuts on both sides. The axial position of the impeller can be adjusted by the shaft sleeve nuts. The axial force of the impeller is balanced by the symmetrical arrangement of the blades. Any residual axial force is absorbed by the bearings at the pump’s shaft ends. The pump shaft is supported by two single-row radial ball bearings, which are housed in bearing bodies at both ends of the pump and are lubricated with grease. The double-suction seal ring helps reduce water leakage from the pressurized water chamber back into the suction chamber. The pump is directly driven by the motor via a coupling. The shaft seal is a soft packing seal, and to cool and lubricate the sealing chamber and prevent air from entering the pump, a water-sealing ring is installed between the packing. During operation, a small amount of high-pressure water flows into the packing chamber through the sealing pipe, effectively sealing the chamber.
