The maximum allowable weight concentration (Cw) of solid-liquid mixtures for this pump is as follows: 45% for ash (slag) slurry and coal slurry; 60% for ore slurry and heavy media. The pump is capable of handling media temperatures of up to 60°C and can be used in multi-stage series configurations.
Pump Casing, Pump Cover, and Flow Passage Components: This series features a horizontal, vertically split, double-casing slurry pump design. The pump casing and cover are equipped with replaceable metal liners made of high-chromium wear-resistant alloy. These liners can be used until completely worn through, extending maintenance intervals and reducing operating costs. The pump outlet can be installed at eight different rotational angles for flexible configuration.
Bearing Assembly: The bearing assembly adopts a cylindrical structure, making it easy to adjust the clearance between the impeller and the front liner. For maintenance, the entire assembly can be removed as a unit. The bearings are lubricated with grease for smooth operation.
Shaft Seal (Sealing System): The pump offers multiple shaft sealing options, including packing seal, auxiliary impeller seal, and mechanical seal, to accommodate various working conditions.
Drive Methods: The pump supports multiple drive configurations, including V-belt drive, flexible coupling drive, gear reducer drive, hydraulic coupling drive, variable frequency drive, and silicon-controlled rectifier (SCR) speed control. The V-belt drive is available in several configurations: CL, CV, CR, ZL, ZV, and ZR.

The ZJ and ZGB series slurry pumps are widely used in industries such as power generation, metallurgy, coal, building materials, and chemical processing. They are primarily designed for transporting abrasive slurries containing solid particles, including: concentrate and tailings in mineral processing plants; ash and slag removal in power plants; sludge and dense media transport in coal washing plants; slurry transport in coastal and riverine mining operations. The maximum allowable slurry weight concentration is 45% for ash slurry and 60% for ore slurry. The pumps can also be operated in series for extended transport distances based on user requirements.
Sealing Options: The ZJ series slurry pumps offer two types of shaft sealing options: auxiliary impeller with packing seal and mechanical seal.
(1) Auxiliary Impeller Dynamic Seal: This sealing method utilizes the pressure generated by the main impeller and a secondary auxiliary impeller to achieve sealing, with packing or lip seals acting as stationary seals. It is suitable for single-stage pumps or the first-stage pump in multi-stage series setups where the inlet pressure does not exceed 10% of the outlet pressure. It can operate without shaft seal water, preventing slurry dilution and ensuring excellent sealing performance. However, it increases power consumption, typically requiring around 5% shaft power. Packing seal is a commonly used shaft sealing method that is adaptable to various operating conditions. It can be equipped with special materials such as PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) packing or graphite packing, making it suitable for corrosive or high-temperature environments. It offers a simple structure and easy maintenance.
(2) Mechanical Seal: Utilizes advanced international sealing technology, ensuring high sealing efficiency. The cartridge-style structure simplifies installation and replacement, available in different designs to suit diverse operational conditions. The friction pair materials are made of high-hardness ceramics and alloy materials.
